BIO.

1996

Reece Prescod, was born in central London. He grew up in East London and attended the prestigious Davenant Foundation School where he took a liking to athletics. He then attended a local sprints meeting at Lee Valley athletics centre , and was picked up by coach Eddie Stevens. He then achieved a silver medal at the National U17 Championships and was scouted to go to Oaklands Athletics Academy by head coach Ryan Freckleton.

2014

In his first year he won the indoor and outdoor national title in the 200m and placed top 3 globally for his age. In his final junior year he ran 20.70 over the 200m which ranked him number 1 in Europe for his age. He was then offered a junior professional contract with Nike to train full-time as an athlete and join coach Jonas Tawiah-Dodoo and support staff Ruth Waghorn, Leah Dunthorne & Gareth Degg.

2017

In 2017 he won the National trials for the 2017 World Championships in the 100m & went on the finish 7th globally.

2018

A year later he won the British title and went on to win a silver medal at the 2018 European Athletics Championships in Berlin he ran a personal best that season off 9.94 & ran sub-10 on four occasions in that season and finished 4th ranked worldwide.

2019

As a part of the British Athletics World Class Performance Programme, he continued to develop. In 2019, he ran 9.97 for his first race & got injured in his second outing of the season, missing the World Championships in Doha.

2020

He prepared for the 2020 season with the Olympics in sight. However, the Covid-19 pandemic canceled the date giving him an extra year of preparation he decided to relocate to the USA to train with one of the best coaches in the world, Mike Holloway. His journey shall continue.

BIO.
Reece grew up in East London and attended Davenant Foundation School. Starting his career at age 14 with coach Eddie Stevens, he achieved a silver medal at the National U17 Championships which led to being scouted by the head coach of Oaklands Athletics Academy, Ryan Freckleton.
In his first year of competing, at the age of 16, Reece won the indoor and outdoor National U20 Championships in the 200m and ranked third globally for his age. In his final junior year, he ran 20.70s over the 200m, ranking him first in Europe for the U20 age category.
Following his successful start in athletics, he was offered a professional contract with Nike and had joined the Speedworks group under coach Jonas Tawiah-Dodoo and support staff Ruth Waghorn,  Leah Dunthorne, and Gareth Degg.
In 2017, Reece won the 100m at the National Senior Championships and qualified for the IAAF World Championships London 2017 where he placed 7th in the final.
In 2018 he retained his National Title and qualified for the European Athletics Championships. He placed second in the finals with a personal best of 9.94s, achieving a National U23 Record. In addition, he ran sub-10 on four occasions and ranked fourth globally in the 100m.
As a part of the British Athletics World Class Performance Programme, he continued to develop. In 2019, he ran 9.97s for his first race, although did not attend the World Championships in Doha due to injury during his second outing of that season.
Reece had prepared for the 2020 season with the Olympics in sight. However, the Covid-19 pandemic had postponed the event which allowed for an extra year of preparation. During this time, he decided to relocate to the U.S.A. and train with coach Mike Holloway.
Reece qualified for the 100m at Tokyo 2020 Olympics and reached the semi finals. He then continued the season achieving a personal best of 20.31s in the 200m, ranking him second in the U.K. and top five in Europe. Reece is now preparing for the 2022 season with three major outdoor competitions and world indoors, challenging for a medal in all competitions.
